Tailored Training at Eager-to-Learn

Eager-to-Learn provides customized courses specifically designed to support the professional development needs of center, school-age or family child care providers. Courses are delivered through our state-of-the-art online classrooms and are scheduled at times suited to your needs. Our qualified instructors present a variety of topics. A few examples include leadership, child growth and development, team building, guidance and discipline, special needs, infants/toddlers and school-age caregiving.

More About Eager-to-Learn Courses

Based on a proven model for online learning, all Eager-to-Learn courses are designed into a multi-week class format, utilizing message board discussions and weekly live chat discussions. Message board discussions take place over several days, and student postings are done independently (at times that are convenient for you) but must be completed prior to the weekly chat. Live chat discussions are scheduled for one evening during the week, typically for 45 minutes. You must “show up” at this set time in order to participate in the discussion. Each week of the class will cover a lesson that includes the following assignments:

Selected readings that expand on and enhance the lesson
Message board questions that require you to respond to your instructor and other students in the course.
Live chat discussions facilitated by your instructor
A wrap up email reflection, an opportunity to email your instructor with your thoughts on what you learned in the weekly lesson.

The Eager-to-Learn class format allows students to get an in-depth learning experience by fostering dialogue and relationship-building between instructors and students.
